Please excuse the long post but I thought that like minded lovers of the outdoors might be interested in this very bad news for users of Colorado Front Range trail systems. If Highlands Ranch can do this what is to stop other Cities from following.

Wildcat Mountain Trail is one of the most beautiful trail systems on the front range. It has stunning views of Denver and the Divide and it is home to many species of animals including a huge herd of Elk, Coyotes, Birds of Prey and Deer. A perfect place for a short stroll in the evening sunshine or a heart thumping bike ride. Sound too good to be true? You are correct.........

Unless you are a resident of Highlands Ranch you cannot use this trail system. Indeed, setting foot on this trail system means you are trespassing unless you can produce a proof of residence.

A BLOG has been created to keep you informed of the situation in the hope that through community awareness, education and some action we can help to change this outrageous policy.

Please contact us is you need to communicate, or use this blog to post your thoughts. You might also want to contact the Highlands Ranch Community Association (HRCA) to let them know your thoughts.
